South Sound Bird Alliance is a chapter of the National Audubon Society and represents Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties in the state of Washington. It is an all-volunteer-based, non-profit organization whose 1,300+ members share interests in birds and other wildlife, their habitats, and natural history.

The Morse Wildlife Preserve contains more than 90 acres of land that was preserved to be wildlife habitat. It also provides an exceptional educational and recreational experience for hundreds of visitors each year.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and perpetuating the state’s fish, wildlife, and ecosystems while providing sustainable fish and wildlife recreational and commercial opportunities.

Little Creatures Ecology helps people create spaces where wildlife and community can thrive together. From forest gardens and wildlife ponds to nature walks and hands-on workshops, their projects spark connection, build skills, and nurture the land.

Pacific Shellfish Institute’s (PSI) research and educational activities are aimed at supporting sustainable shellfish production and restoration, protecting marine ecosystems, reducing user-conflicts, and informing coastal planning decisions.

The Estuarium is a marine life discovery center featuring aquariums and interpretive exhibits.

Protects and restores salmon populations and aquatic habitat with an emphasis on ecosystem function through scientifically informed projects.

Wolf Haven is a clear and persistent voice for wolf conservation and coexistence in the wild, and advocates for sustainable solutions that not only protect wolves but also minimize human-wolf conflicts and dangers to livestock.

The Center provides field trip opportunities, supplemental classroom activities, and summer camps, all aimed at sharing the beauty and uniqueness of the Nisqually Estuary and learning the values of conservation, particularly with regard to South Puget Sound.
