Friends of the Salish Sea’s (formerly Friends of Skagit Beaches) goal is to protect our marine shorelines and waterways through education, citizen science, and stewardship projects. They strive to increase public awareness & protect the health of the Salish Sea and local wildlife like the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales.

Twin Harbors Waterkeeper (THW) envisions a future where the relationship between our waterways, our climate, our economy and human health is restored and thriving. The mission of THW is to protect and improve water quality and marine and freshwater habitats on the Washington Coast including the watersheds of the Hoh, Quillayute, Queets and Quinault and Chehalis Rivers and the Chehalis River Estuary and Willapa Bay Watershed.

Gray's Harbor National Wildlife Refuge offers recreation in the Grays Harbor Estuary.
