Friends of the Salish Sea’s (formerly Friends of Skagit Beaches) goal is to protect our marine shorelines and waterways through education, citizen science, and stewardship projects. They strive to increase public awareness & protect the health of the Salish Sea and local wildlife like the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales.

Pacific Shellfish Institute’s (PSI) research and educational activities are aimed at supporting sustainable shellfish production and restoration, protecting marine ecosystems, reducing user-conflicts, and informing coastal planning decisions.

The Estuarium is a marine life discovery center featuring aquariums and interpretive exhibits.

The Center provides field trip opportunities, supplemental classroom activities, and summer camps, all aimed at sharing the beauty and uniqueness of the Nisqually Estuary and learning the values of conservation, particularly with regard to South Puget Sound.
