The Squaxin Island Garden is located in the Kamilche Valley, which is translated to English as “the Peaceful Valley”, on a ten-acre parcel. The Garden features forested wetlands lined with native plants, an abundant orchard, a small berry field and a thriving vegetable garden. The Garden was established in 2016 with the mission to increase access to culturally relevant foods, as well as locally-grown organic produce.

Olympia Ecosystems is a non-profit organization that has created four preserves in and around Olympia, Washington. They mobilize an enthusiastic volunteer workforce and partner with like-minded organizations to replace invasive species with thriving pacific northwest adapted plants.

The Morse Wildlife Preserve contains more than 90 acres of land that was preserved to be wildlife habitat. It also provides an exceptional educational and recreational experience for hundreds of visitors each year.

GRuB (Garden-Raised Bounty) is a nonprofit organization located in Olympia, WA that grows healthy food, people, and community.

Mason County Climate Justice is a multiracial, multigenerational, community-based nonprofit based in Mason County, WA, and the sovereign Skokomish and Squaxin Island Nations. Co-founded in 2018 as an all-volunteer grassroots collective, MCCJ grew into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2023. They collaborate to build community food forests, teach workshops, provide a rural perspective on policy, defend legacy forests so that they become old growth, develop a Just Transition, and organize our community to take charge of our shared future.

Pacific Shellfish Institute’s (PSI) research and educational activities are aimed at supporting sustainable shellfish production and restoration, protecting marine ecosystems, reducing user-conflicts, and informing coastal planning decisions.

The Nisqually Stream Stewards (NSS) is a program offered by the Nisqually Indian Tribe and Nisqually River Council, who recognize that long-lasting restoration and stewardship will only come about through community-based efforts.

The Center provides field trip opportunities, supplemental classroom activities, and summer camps, all aimed at sharing the beauty and uniqueness of the Nisqually Estuary and learning the values of conservation, particularly with regard to South Puget Sound.
